Tomato "Dyatel" (Woodpecker).
The perfect fit for a jar! Firm "fingers" that never crack.
A productive indeterminate (tall) variety, maturing in 100-105 days. Recommended for greenhouses and open ground (in southern regions).
Characteristics:
Fruits: Cylindrical ("plum" type), uniform, weighing 30–50 g.
Flesh and skin: Very dense. Tomatoes do not crack either on the bush or during thermal processing (canning).
Taste: Pleasant, classic tomato flavor with a slight refreshing acidity.
Variety value:
1. King of Canning: Thanks to their shape and density, they pack perfectly into jars and maintain integrity in marinade.
2. Transportability: Excellent shelf life and transport tolerance.
3. Yield: Up to 9.7 kg/m² under film cover.
Agrotechnics:
Sowing for seedlings: early March. Planting in greenhouse: May (spacing 40x60 cm).
Important: Train the plant strictly to 1 stem, removing all side shoots (suckers). To accelerate ripening, pinch off the main shoot after 5–6 trusses have formed (leaving 2 leaves above the last truss).
Seeds remain viable for 10 years. If expired, simply increase the sowing rate.
